Newton County has single stream co-mingled recycling, which means nothing needs to be sorted. 24-hour drop off recycling containers are located behind the water tower. Items accepted include plastics #1-5 and #7, steel cans, aluminum cans, glass food jars, cardboard and paper.
Electronics, appliances, tires, oil, oil filters and antifreeze should be taken to the Newton County Highway Department located at 3653 West 275 South, Morocco, IN during their business hours.

A yearly household hazardous waste day is held in September. The 2015 date is Saturday, September 19 at the Newton County Highway Garage in Morocco. Oil based paints, fluorescent bulbs, household cleaners and other hazardous materials will be accepted.

A town brush pile is located on the East side of Brook behind the Firehouse. This is used for branches and yard clippings only.
